In the UK we have to pay around £150 every year to the BBC by law, for the privilege of having their services. This is why it is only valid in the UK, for paying licence fee holders only. Personally, as a payer, I agree with this. Why should anybody be able to just go onto iplayer and stream using up all of the bandwidth that licence fee payers have paid for. I understand that as a prodigy fan that you want to hear it, and would probably pay for it (I would if outside the UK) ....but I'm sure you can understand the BBC's reasons for not allowing none-payers to listen to it.

The UK has around 25 million households. Each has to pay the BBC a license fee. For that fee they have full access to BBC content.

Imagine the BBCs bandwidth costs if everyone around the world swamped their website.

Prodigy not to blame for this.

How come it's "UK only" when we could just tune in to Radio 1 at that time?
