i think prodigy should think about how much effort people have put into these videos and give us some respect by actually reviewing all the entries and not getting someone to pick out what they think is the best and actually relise that there are a number of outstanding videos that have been entered and not one of them is in the top four of their choice. PR whores!

Can anyone verify that all the videos featured here all follow the contest guidelines? I think there were questionable moments definitely in the 'winner'. Does anyone else agree?
I also definitely don't think the entries were actually judged by the band, which was also in the contest terms... no?

I don't get it. Why is there no communication about the contest on Dailymotion?
At least I aspected a mail with the information. It's just not right that all these people(including me) took lots of time to make the videos and they have to read on the comments that the information is here!
Anyay, I'm gonna put my version on my youtube channel. Good luck evrybody! I watched some great talents on the competition.

Before I go on to talk about these videos, I want to make it clear that I did make a video for the competition. The words I write here I express from my heart. I realise this may sound like I'm being bitter, but hopefully for those who entered and others who just followed the competition out of interest will understand that I'm speaking my opinions, and also with the belief that there are others who feel the same way as I do regarding this whole competition.
I'm at a loss here to understand why these videos were chosen as the winning 'music videos' to represent The Prodigy's, Run With The Wolves single. I'll start off with the winning video...
Clearly the visual style is striking, moody and atmospheric and I can understand how time consuming it is to do animation. As a music video it starts and ends well, however for what appears to be about half the duration of the song, you have the man running down a corridor and animations are re-used. Whether the animator ran out of time or ideas, this section is incredibly tedious and boring for the viewer. Like being stuck in a room renovating a house, whilst everyone has moved onto other rooms, you are watching the paint dry. It's only in the last moments of this video that you get excited again and hurriedly move on only to realise everyone has taken your rollers and have already gone home.
Having come to terms that this slow and ill-fitting video had been chosen as the winning video to represent Run With The Wolves music video, I didn't pin my hopes on achieving a runners-up status. I have watched the videos and have serious doubts on whether the band actually watched the other 300 videos (or so) on offer, let alone they actually chose these videos at all?
As runners-up we now have a grindhouse style short film, where there are guns, women and horribly cheesy effects of guys running through the woods and getting gunned down. I can admire the kitsch style of the video, however, it feels like this is just an excerpt from a short film... a sketch, or an idea with music thrown over the top of it and then passing it off as a music video.
The CharlyXL is another great effort. Beautifully shot at the beginning. It falls apart when "red riding hood" runs up the gravelly hill. Any quality that was there before has now descended into an amateur and badly acted film. The music video is lost on me there and does nothing of interest until nearer the end. I'm not keen on the over-use of sound effects on screen. It's a music video, let us hear the music. Especially the underwater section... Yet out of the 4 videos chosen, this video is the most consistent in terms of feeling like a proper music video. I'd have picked this over the animation that won because at least it's not running down a corridor for half the song.
The stop motion animation video is brilliantly done. It's inventive and a lot of thought and time must have gone into it. Even though I say that, it doesn't suit the style of The Prodigy and does not fit with the song. There's nothing about it that makes me think "This is totally a Prodigy video!” Many up tempo songs could be used and they'd work equally as well.
I find it surprising that out of all the entries available that The Prodigy chose these videos as the winners. Many people submitted some great, well thought out ideas and to see these winning videos has aggravated me. I'm not against the film-makers themselves, I think this has been an amazing competition and opportunity for everyone. I'm sure there are others who question the process of the decision making that went behind this competition.
I find it hard to imagine the band choosing these videos to represent their music and their image. That two of them run out of steam mid-way through. One feels like it's an excerpt of a bad horror film and not even a music video, and then there's one that's made well but it could have been used for any song.
I'm disappointed with the out-come of this competition. I feel gutted on a personal level, but more than that I feel the fans have been cheated that there was not one single video that was picked that really fits with the song or the band. If the band feels these are the videos that best represent them out of those 300 videos, then that's their choice. Though, as an avid listener of their music for over 13 years I can whole-heartedly say that it doesn't make much sense to me.
