TOPIC: World's On Fire (New York Private Screening)

World's On Fire (New York Private Screening) 1 year, 10 months ago #58012

I dunno if you guys knew, but there was an exclusive private screening of World's On Fire film at The Lodge in NYC today!
I entered a comp on metromix.com after seeing the link on Brainkiller forums and I won two spots at it!

Oh man, was it awesome...

When they said exclusive private screening, they didn't lie.
Besides me and my girlfriend Erin, who was my +1, there were only 8 other people invited plus the two guys from The End Records who were hosting it. It was held in a sleek/plush viewing room, which you can see pictured below. The Lodge is seriously stylish, I mean, just walking into the place you felt like you were in the big leagues. They had free drinks and a free copy of the CD/DVD or CD/Blu Ray for attending. They blasted it on banging system with a huge screen.

The other people were various blogs and music reviewers. Andres and I believe Shaun was the other guy's name from The End Records were great and very enthusiastic and you can tell were excited to sign and help release this live CD/DVD. They said how they saw them at the end of the Linkin Park tour and were so blown away by their live performance that they went straight after em to join The End Records.

A couple of interesting bits of info, at least for the US fans...

First off, Andres said that the producer for The Prodigy, which I'm guessing means Liam, part owns The Lodge in NYC. I didn't know that. They gave em the go ahead to put on this little shindig.

And...
a real plus for the US fans, Liam and the boys agreed that they would do a real full on in your face Prodigy tour here in the States... NEXT YEAR... if The End puts out their live DVD!

HELLZ YEAH!!!

Hope its true!

Hehe, to the haters that didn't think NYC deserved a special show...

Glad your night was so special.

Not sure about the Liam part owning The Lodge thing, I used to get a few news updates from Emily and have never heard that before.

But maybe....

Good times man, although having experienced the raving carnage that was the UK showings I can't imagine sitting in a small private showing to watch it!

As for Liam part-owning The Lodge, who knows what pies his fingers are in. They certainly have a history with him so it's quite feasible.
