TOPIC: The Sound at Milton Keynes Bowl

The Sound at Milton Keynes Bowl 2 years, 10 months ago #48379

Ive seen the Prodigy/Pendulum at indoor and outdoor venues over several years now, We tried numerous places to stand but could not get a good sound from the sound system they were using. Did anyone think that the sound was a bit rubbish. Apart from this brilliant sets from both bands and brilliant stage show.

The bass was insane, but we were right at the front by the speakers so fair play! Mid range and treble were just right so that there was no nasty ear-ringing caused by bad EQ's. Well done sound boys, spot on

Just to the left of the circle, i thought the sound was incredible, and yeah no horrible ear ringing which shocked me because it was fucking loud

Sound was huge! Only Weather experience was disformed from our standing point at the back of the front pit.
But it looked (heared is a better word to use) like with every track they played the volume got up a bit.

I thought the sound was amazing i too was at the front to the left of the stage, i think it was probably a lot better from the back of the bowl though as ive seen eminem there and was at the back on the hill you get to see the full stage but i just had to be at the front of this special gig.
I didnt really see the stage properly so after everyone was going home me and the hubby took pics of the stage as they were taking stuff down which was pretty cool.

I was bang in the middle about 10 rows from the front i and thought the sound was excellent. There's been a few times when i've seen them and not been impressed with the sound system but they got it right this time.

No one will ever touch The Prodigy!

I was round the left side grass circle because my other half wasnt having it, the speakers were not up to it in my opinion at all for those where we were, even with those crappy side speakers sound great near front but i'm pissed cos i wasnt where i wanted to be, the set was great, just sound was not loud where i was, it was far.... went all that way and my gf just wanted to sit down

Harsh, that's why I only invite people who I know willl be up for going nuts with me at the front. Even so, if they were to find it too much they know (as I have pre-warned them) that the gig comes first and that if they can't take the heat I will meet them after the gig.
No-one ruins my gigs bro.

Same here wayne my hubby was quite happy to go wherever i wanted to as he knew it was my special day, although he is used to moshing as he used to go see bands like pop will eat itself and jesus jones etc back in the day.He was very protective of me and as soon as any idiot came near me they soon got pushed away lol im so glad he came with me.

if i could go back i would have gone solo and enjoyed the gig rather go with someone who had avoided loads of gigs and failed to get the fact this is my life... we sat down the left side where the crap speakers were, I ran down to near the bar on the left hand side, most amazing bit even caught on film was weather experience cos i knew how lucky i was to hear it again since 96 T in the park
ps you'll have to forgive the camerawork and me getting over excited
