Gulliver's Travels (2010)

Old jokes be old. Piece of junk, stay away unless you´re a hard core Jack Black fan. And by "hard core" I mean "stalker-groupie-fan(gender)-I-hope-we-die-together".

Besides the jokes:
Poorly adapted script
Underachieving SFX
Generally horrible acting (yes, as I said: I know it´s a Jack Black move)
Fuglyskinnybugly Amanda Peet
That least funny guy from How I Met Your Mother
Did I mention the old, overused jokes?

This weekend I watched the following:

Monsters. Probably the biggest let-down of 2010 / 2011. Some giant squid-beasts wander about, nothing much happens. Then some more nothing happens. Then someone dies, followed by a period of more nothing. The Monsters are kept from wandering into America by a huge wall that for some reason has a huge gap in it, allowing the Monsters to wander through anyway. WHY? Also the FX and acting are sub-par.

The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets Nest. I missed half of the subtitles as I was distracted by some work I was doing but all-in-all it seemed to be a pretty decent way to wind the trilogy up.

Shutter Island-loved it!
