What does it mean beat per minute ?? This is a number of tunes played in one minute ?? For example 60 times drums, 60 tunes of guitar, 55 tunes in piano makes 175 bpm ?? I wonder how it works

@arie, well, you "would" multiply it by 4 if u had a 4/4 beated track, u could also have a 2/4 beated track, so you would multiply it by 8 and so forth, but sometimes you just cant determine it by just "listening" to it LOL, some tunes are more complex the others (i.e. AFX).

there are 4 beats in one bar (one loop) assuming the standard 4/4

Kunio...nod your head to the music, or tap your hand (as arie suggested). Thats the beat.

A slower song..like poison has (guessing) approx 116 beats per minute.
A faster song like Charly...has approx 140 beats per minute (bpm).

Er... they are all 132bpm except beltram that I think is about 144 or something.

I always thought BPM was the sign in videoshops for the secton "Best Porn Movies".
