I'm on a mission and I could use a little help....

I'm working on a remix of 'Breathe' and as there are no stems available, I cannot get hold of the 'Breathe with me' phrase.

I've tried a few things:

First I tried sampled noise reduction of the instrumental version and removed that from the original. Unfortunately the instrumental is slightly sped up...

....so then I tried isolating two different segments of audio on the original. The first was the part containing the 'Breathe with me' phrase (which has the drumfill in the background) and the second was the part with the drumfill. These two segments are almost identical. I lined them up through multitracking until there was no phasing then I did sampled noise reduction of the drumfill over the vocal part. It worked, but it pretty much degraded the sound to a point where it was unusable because it was missing lots of frequencies.

So, with all other options exhausted i've now been going through lots of Prodigy interviews waiting for one of them to say "Breathe".

...If I cannot find this, i'll settle for some clean audio where Keith is saying something that would fit in nicely just before a drop (two or three words at most)

Any help would be appreciated. Maybe some of you have some audio interviews or something like that.

That was a fruitless endeavour...... it was impossible to get it the exact same speed as the original and even if I could the characteristics would be changed slightly which means sampled noise reduction would be out of the question.

Hey everybody, the audio that purplesquirrel sent me had music playing in the background so if any of you can think of other audio or video that would help please let me know

If you went through it properly you would have found audio without music in the background- it is 2 hours to find a snippet. Please its not hard to get audio of the band, you seem to know more than the me regarding production, so why not try your own leg work to find audio, especially from video files on this site ! Check keith out in the isle of wight smack my bitch up video from 2009 I think where he is on the ferry, very funny. Now that is all for now

Have you tried live versions as a vocal source? Quite often Maxim will say 'come Breathe with me' just before the track starts so you could probably isolate the vocal fairly easily, provided the original audio is of a decent enough quality and isn't full of crowd noise.

Bit like this -

If you can find one without the cymbal splash on top of it you'll be alright, or you could probably roll the top off that sample enough to hide it.

I had previously looked through all the videos on youtube as well as all the HD 'Traction Control' videos on Vimeo.com

I had the same idea as you Schoolboy Error.... however I still haven't been able to find a version where there is nothing else playing.

I'll keep hunting though.

I deffo am a complete Prodigy nutball.The band just so far ahead of it time.There thinking is just advanced.

I Still haven't been able to find any suitable audio. This is most upsetting.
