2 short
do you want me to get good grades or not
serious, bad grades, bad allowance, no new albums for me, no support for your favourite band

but you are dam right, the beats are freaking great and inspiring, which ones do you prefer, the jungle, the techno or the electronicpunk (the newer ones, couldnt find a genre to describe^^) beats?

anyway, keep on answering, im eager to read

The Prodigy to me are a band who create music that no other band sound like, and they keep producing tunes which are completely different to their other stuff, and the live show is just unbelievable, complete energy rampage!! And the guys dont sell out, they stay real, they are not famous cocky w***ers, who think they are the shit, they are really down to earth and laugh the fame tag off, full respect to Liam, Maxim, Keith, Leeroy (x prodigy dancer)

uhm...thats a good question.
I dunno..i think the prodigy were the first to base music completely around "beats".
If you listen to my fave, Rhythm of Life, when the main beat first hits....there is no melody..no bassline...no fucking anything ..just beats...and it works splendidly.
Not many people can make such interesting music from a few cadbury's roses tins

thats a good point, and youre right, now that i hear the beat. since im a younger fan (because of my age) i tend to the newer tunes, but i got used to their older works a half year ago.
they do not use much melody, thats a fact and thats special?
i personally love the mix of "natural" samples (like oriental flutes or e-guitars) with synthsounds.
what i dislike a little bit is the piano in the expriance record which appears in almost every song as i remember right. i think thats because of the rave trend, but i dont know precisely cause i was some six years old that time, im missing sounds to compare^^

if you had to choose a style, which one would it be?
i personally cannot deside, its very much depending on my mood, can you?

Their evolution is important to mention as that is an important factor in the bands success. I still think that The prodigy could have pushed out another couple of great albums after Experience without too much change in their style, but change is exactly what has made them great.

Thanks to The Prodigy i now estimate music properly. They introduced me to a whole new level which i had never experienced before. First when i got hooked up i was buzzin after Keith for his Firestarter imago etc. But in time i have discovered the geniality in Liam. And it's still amazing how dedicated he is. If i ever end up making my own beats in the future, he'll be my main idol for sure. Liam should get a grammy or an oscar or whatever cause he IS a fucking genius, no doubt.

true, definitly!!!
but there are songs from each episode of their composing that sound the same: their law, back 2 school, poison, serial thrilla, spitfire and the newer songs that are still unreleased
no offence, they are unique but from the same genre on my opinion.

I think that the 4 albums in my eyes, sorry EARS are all different in style. I am not musically gifted like a few members here but my ears dont decieve me. Music structure is not something that comes easy to me, but that shouldn't make me less worthy of forming an opinion.

Influence,
As well as getting me through a tough personal time I can safely say that The Prodigy was a major cause of me dropping out of college in the early nineties, This is due to the fact that a lot of the people who I worked with enjoyed the same Prodigy style connection. We were mad for the scenes of which Liam and the rest of the band have described many times. It was the Prodigy influence which gave me a craving for the rave and undergoround music scene.

I am not saying that The Prodigy "made me" do this, but I am glad I did.

One word sums this up for me EXPERIENCE
