What vexes me is that I'm making my earlier statment based on previous experience of live gigs going back to the beginning of 1995. Do I think the gigs were better back then? Yes I do and I preffered it without the live drummer and I don't rate the new guitarist. It seems they are trying to turn themselves into a little rock band, which in my eyes can only be a bastardisation of the electronic industries golden boy (s)
But, he hasn't been to any of the old gigs and will instead have to look at them on Youtube and wish he could have been there. Perhaps that's why he is bitter!

Let this get back to topic.

I'd better shut up. No way can I come back from such a witty and well thought out retort as that! Gift of the gab you got there son

Bring back Jim Davies, he was cool for Break and Enter. He was the first person I saw take to the stage in Brighton '95.

don't care much about the quitarist, but leave the drummer in. Kieron Pepper, for instance, did a fine job playing live. he often added a different high-hat dimension to the track which sounded so cool. i think he was better than Leo, although Leo is doing a fine job. maybe it's because i like drumming in general. i have to agree that musically Rob doesn't really add much (just some rocky riff for background), but i guess he's in for the show

We need Liam back doing his funky drummer shit, but who would take over the synths? Anyone got Leeroys number?

Its good to have a guitarist and drummer live, it adds an extra dimension to their sound. I don't have the experience of seeing Jim Davies live unfortunately but I was quite impressed by the musicians at Wembley Arena. I think a guitarist in general is essential for the live shows since MFTJG, especially for Their Law. The only way they could do without one is if they played an old style set, with songs from the Experience era.

check out the thread for the zap club 94 gig, outstanding set, not a guitar to be seen (well heard actually )

Yeah I've heard that one and I agree its an amazing set, but I still prefer the later versions of Their Law with the live guitar, much more powerful. Just checked out Break and Enter at Glastonbury '95 with Jim Davies on guitar and thats great too, he really adds something to the song.
