TOPIC: Do you feel sad?

Do you feel sad? 6 years, 4 months ago #11888

I just wanted to ask: do u feel sad that Prodge crew is getting older and older...?
I miss the good old Flint-energy on the stage... he almost doesn't dance now.
I miss Maxim's high-kicks in the air on the concerts too... though mr. Palmer still looks cool on the stage.
What do u ppl think bout that

I'm not talking about music (sure i want them to evolve), but what I was trying to say is that Flinty can't be "twisted firestarta" on the stage for a long time...

I have to say that Keith Flint gained quite some weight during the years, but for the last year or perhaps two he is losing weight again and he seems to be getting more in shape again. I also believe that he is getting more active on stage again, which is a good thing. Also his vocals are improving a lot live in my humble opinion. As for Maxim, I don't think that he ever really had a moment that it went less with him. He is still as strong as he was years ago.

But when I watched Spitfire (live at Pinkpop, "TLTS" DVD)... Flinty looked sooooo "lost", his moves were so stupid and Maxim was cool as always (I really like his "warior-like" dancing and moves).

And at Lowlands ... Flinty looked like some hippy, he kissed almost every girl in the crowd (that's cool, but it's not really his style)... He was something like: "Flower Power" and "Share Love" type there.
But I must addmit I like his voice now... it's better than TFOTL era IMO.

When i first saw the Lowlands gig, i was quite shocked. I thought Flinty was really drunk or smth. Though, Warning at Lowlands there is one of my favourites live-recording i've seen. And i have to agree, i like Flint's singing (i mean just listen to him singing e.g. when they performed Breathe for the first time). They're really adding a lot of energy to the show along with Maxim. Can't wait to see them again on tour with the new album.

It is possible they were just tired from touring. They are getting old admittedly but still, I don't see The Prodigy energy getting any less imho.

i agree that flint has got some overweight a two-three years ago. ofcourse they are getting older too, but i think that example speaking from Flint.... last time (spring 06), when i was in prodigy gig was exist totally different Flint, than when was that Prodigys "come back"- aono tour 04.

Flint have nowdays really drop off some weight and it have straightly be seen into a lot more energizer, moving Flint and Prodigy!!!

ofcourse this "gig energy" thing is also up to from the audience too.... that is the thing, what i donВґt have ever going to prove or take my words back.

reciprocal effect is what prodigy needs. Everybody needs that.

i have been in a few prodigy gigs, where audience have just come look around when "backyears comet", prodigy has come into their town. no needs for travelling nowhere, no nothing what should have make any work, or something. then they only stands there ... i mean in the audience. this kind of things strightly have effect in to performer.
i wont name any countries, where these kind of things exists.

then a little, very little time back that terrible crowd gig i was in estonia and riga concerts. everybody was truly exited. atmosphere was like maniac. people had homemade prodigy shirts, flags, horns and so on......
and ofcourse hole arena was sold out really "hungry" and partying fans.
Prodigy surely have and has sense this kind of vibes and so on... you know.
that gig was actually wiced. probably better or atleast it gots same energy level, than my first prodigy gig in 96, when they boys were youngers.

bah... anyways. i know, that anyone canВґt understand me right now...
i mean only, that is clear, that when you get older, you get slower and stiffer.
but believe me, when things is really going to wicked and mad, then itВґs not matter or there is no questions of age things anymore.

really nowdays, prodigys experience is coming definitely be their power!!!

thanx for listening.
ugh!
i have spoken.

You've got a point there. The crowd here was a lot more hyped up than in Finland '05 (that is if you're talking about the 2006 gig).

caught in action.
finland 05 wasnВґt still really the only gig, where was that ....hmmm...nostalgig vibes in the crowd. (ok,ok...finland was clumsy, indeed). ofcourse in finland 05 there was also those die hard prodigy fans, who really rocked into front the stage. but that was really all of it.
i really hope, that Prod. wants still come here to play after that 05.

if you allow me to make somekind of remark for the band after all my "look forward" - moaning , i must complaint Helsinki gig Вґ97. i know, that atleast Flint remembers that...
so, i must believe, that electro isnВґt dead yet from finland.
donВґt believe the hype you all finlanders.... and you other turncoatses.

remembering roots is ofcourse the main thing, but without that rocking chair effect.

hahaha...

I don't think any of that matters cos all I'm trying to cling onto now is the fact that I hope they do not die and I am ecstatic I've still got them after fifteen years... Like old teddies in a way... Lets rejoice that we have the master and his minions!!!!

How are u gonna stop time..? Stop their aging...?

Some Prodigy fans never seems to grow up!
In July this year, it's gonna be 10 years since Fat Of The Land was released!
