TOPIC: similarity

similarity 6 years, 7 months ago #9912

I know there was one topic about it (maybe not exactly) and i cannot find it so there is another straight about similarity between different tracks of the Prodigy.
I`m currently listen to Charly "Alley cat mix". There is a male voice on the begining and he says: "You crazy" ... This is the same "You crazy" that in the "Evil minds" from Liam`s demo tape. Can you recognize that ??
Please write down what have you found

There are a lot of similarities to be found between tracks. Liam Howlett is famous for recycling samples. For instance the beats in Crazy Man are identical to the beats in Smack My Bitch Up.

The bagpipes from "Wake the fuck up" are the same than from "Razor" (at about 2:50 min in Razor).

Bass from "Diesel power" the same than in "SMBU" ...

in "babys got a temper main mix" at about 45 sec there is a one sample from "firestarter"

Never noticed that but the SMBU firestarter sample I did, yeah he used a lot of the already recycled samples especially in the 91 era

Another obvious sample, Liam Howlett recycled the lyrics which can be heard on Drop The Bass in Pandemonium. There are many more recycled samples to be found.

I'm getting tired of Liam, using the same sample from Pheonix 96. You know, that sample, that's like from a martial - arts movie. Some guy screams "Yaa, yaaa".
But Liam still uses samples from old rave songs, what ever he sayes bad about it, he's still loyal to his root's.

The Sample in "Action Radar" (00:5) is in "Wake The Fuck Up" 2:20.

Wake The Fuck Up is a mash up of Action Radar, Razor and Wake Up Call actually.

That's the most noticable sample on Wake The Fuck Up.

On topic: the ringing sample on Wake Up Call taken from Claustrophobic Sting.

If you mean the nightbreed mix: the main beat on Spitfire (Nightbreed mix) and Wake The Fuck Up are the same. You can't not notice it.
