I Have a journalist mate who worked in Los Angeles for a music mag about 10 years ago who swares he heard a pre-release cover of Eton Rifles by the Prodigy for a tribute album for The Jam.

Personally he is prone to BS so i think it's rubbish but has anyone else heard of it?

Well he swears to this day he heard it...not convinced myself

If Liam didn't finish it then unless he nicked his PC i don't know how he could of.

Don't rule it out, the fact he seems to know quite alot of detail about it means something...

Years ago the NME mentioned that The Prodigy were doing a cover version of 'Eton Rifles' for The Jam tribute album but I've never seen or heard it confirmed anywhere else. The question of the tracks existance will hopefully be answered in Martin James' new Prodigy book (due out some time this year maybe) as it is one of the questions people asked Martin to put to Liam.

damn - eton rifles is a brilliant track but I'd never heard the prodigy were doing a cover - weird, I just can't imagine it, its such a classic track!
