When did we have rohypnol? I don't remember that. I do remember waking up with a sore arse though....
Spent all yesterday listening to Mescaline as my copy arrived 2 days early. Awesome track, on a par with Thunder as the 2nd best track released during the IMD era. So glad it's an instrumental so Keith wasn't allowed to ruin it. Perhaps Liam is growing a pair. Awesome, AWESOME track.

100% agree

this is me after listening to Mescaline ->

finally a proper b-side! i love the build-up of the track and the fact that it's an instrumental.. just plain beats and synths. the end is vicious! especially the very last part with the horn melody. love it! cheers H

this track is so fucking good and evil! a perfect b-side for Thunder. Mescaline and Thunder must be one of the best tracks released this decade, total eardrum killers! i feel as excited as when IMD was released

okay, enough now

Mescaline is absolutely SAVAGE!!! For me it's the Rhythm of Life of the IMD era. It also kind reminds me of Back to Skool. Then again that track is probably the Rhythm of Life of the AONO era.....

Also I think Liam got in touch with the old school roots with this more so than he did on anything else on IMD

It's fucking wicked and insane. As for me, Mescaline's definitely the best track from the IMD era next to World's on Fire so far. My problem's just... why the hell didn't they put it in the Swiss iTunes store until now? I mean, I don't wanna buy the CD because it would cost me too much (I buy all the LPs as CDs, that's quite enough since I'm only a student) and I always loaded my singles there, but this really kinda pisses me off =/ (yeah I know, I'd get it somewhere else, but illegal stuff is taboo for me and I just have the luck that my father loads his stuff @ iTunes and has an account there, of course I don't have a credit card...) ... whatever.

But it really makes me happy to see that they finally release the stuff their fans always wanted to have. Next time, please give us Gabba(!!!), Beat 55, and the new live version of No Good!

Heard Mescaline live in 2008, by the way. ^^

I love Mescaline more and more I listen to it. Still there's some little little things to complain about. I like the beat but Liam should have added some extra bass kick because when you listen to this track through headphones for example in a bus you can't really hear the kicks. Also I miss the woman "woaaw, wooaw" screams which were on the '08 live version before Keith started singing. Good that this is instrumental, though! I also noticed that the main melody sound could be changed too because it sounds different in the crazy glitchy ending, closer to the Unstoppable one. Might be just me....but what the heck it's a brilliant tune!!!

Nah mate, it joins the ranks of Pandemonium, G-force, Rhythm Of Life & Molotov Bitch that are great tracks, but only for those who go to the trouble of getting the singles. I like to think of them as rewards for being a fan and not just buying the albums.

I'm not hearing any Jilted-old skool vibes on it. Mescaline is a totally new skool AONO-like track. I like the track, but it could have more melody.
