Just to clear up a few things:
First off all, I tried the "search" button and I did not get up any topics where people here have discussed this album. Maybe I did not search far enough back in time, but as this is my first week as member on this forum, I would like to use the oportunity to listen to "todays fans" opinions and also try to "piss off" a couple of people in here, just to see the reaction, to make some debates and to express my anger over the album that made me stop listening to The Prodigy for several years. The waiting periode after TFOTL was long and I almost gave up the hope of a new album. When it finally came out, I totally lost interest for good! I am now trying to pick up that interest again and therefor found it logical to burst out my anger of AONO and move on!
As I have mentioned, I have not updated myself on The Prodigy for several years. I know very little of their newest releases, so feel free to update me. For example: I have NO idea what TLTS stands for!
As for respect for Liam after AONO, I had enourmes respect for him based on the three first albums, but in SEVEN years you sort of move on and start to listen to other music. When AONO was released in the middle of all the other bands I was listening to, it more or less just pissed me off and passed me by. It's not about loosing respect... It's moore about sustaining the respect! After so many years, you have to do good if you want to pick up where you left of with your fans!
Many users in here, says that AONO have some of the best Prodigy-tracks ever and that, for example, Action Radar is the best track etc. To me, this is an enigma! Compared to what The Prodigy have released before, this is a discrase when I think of bough the quality and the drive that the music from Liam used to represent! Listen to "Smack my bitch up", "No good", "Out of space", "Their law" etc. and still claim that "Action Radar" is one of their best tracks!
As for me making a better album than AONO, as one person mentioned in "Worst prodigy track and re-mix"-post regarding my post about the "Action Radar"-track, my answer is: I don't have to! The reason I bring this up in this post, is to point out why I think AONO is of rather low quality. I have used bough tracker programs and Reason for several years and by doing so, you come across a lot of tracks that other people have made at home. I can promise you that there is a lot of amateures out there that don't have the slightest clue of what they are doing when they try to make a song, simply beacuse they don't know how to use the programs. Their "songs" sound like many of the tracks on AONO! In other words, AONO is not very impressive! When Liam Howlett, the man behind Experience, MFTJG and TFOTL, is supposed to be the man behind the songs on AONO, I can only start to wonder if this album was ment as a joke!
What many of you need to understand, is that I have been a HUGE fan since "Out of Space" was released as a single and I have loved this band for almost 10 years, until BGOAT was released. I had MANY friends that also loved The Prodigy and now there is only me left that still has some interest in following them into the future. AONO destroyed a lot for The Prodigy and it costed them MANY fans! AONO in complacency with all the years that has past since TFOTL, is enough to see and understand why The Prodigy have a lot of doubts from the fans that loved them in the 90's.
But... I will start to look forward and I can't wait to hear the new album. On the other hand, if it sounds remotely like AONO, I will stop looking forward and instead start to look backwards again... from 1997 and back!
