TOPIC: Orange Warsaw Festival 2012

For my Awol is much better.
Jetfighter could be longer, now is too short even as a beta track.

It seems that all of the new tracks, AWOL, Dogbite, Jetfighter, and Spitfast have a similar set up as Breathe. One beat, one set of lyrics, and one transition all repeated two to three times.

There needs to be more variety to add to the length, not the same thing repeated over and over again until the song becomes a track.

It's "jet breaker," not "generator."

It makes sense because a jet fighter usually shoots at other jets, making it a jet breaker.

Finally a new track where one can actually understand the lyrics.

Re: Orange Warsaw Festival 2012 11 months, 1 week ago #63388

well these lyrics are reused lyrics from the live version of "Mescaline" that Keith did
the original lyrics when they were on "Mescaline" were "Generator, generator... celebrate the noisemaker!"
...not "jet breaker"

jet breaker doesn't even make any sense to me
i never heard anyone use the term "jet breaker"

if that is the real lyric... get rid of it
because that's just dumb even for Prodigy standards of dumb lyrics

Re: Orange Warsaw Festival 2012 11 months, 1 week ago #63389

and i agree that the tracks are getting too short...
a lot of the latest live stuff remixed and the new stuff have been 1-2 minutes long
they definitely need to develop more before they can be considered a full track

When did you hear that Liam said that he cannot make longer tracks anymore?

i reposted the comment from before because it started off by replying to your track length thing before lyrics got brought up

it was in some interview over on BK a little while ago and he mentioned how it was difficult writing long songs
but i think he meant more like how Jilted tracks pushed 6-8 minutes

Re: Orange Warsaw Festival 2012 11 months, 1 week ago #63395

yeah it sounds like "Jet breaker"

...but i still find that lyric a bit dumb
:shrugs:

and i fine with silly lyrics, i mean look at Dogbite...
but "jet breaker" just sounds even more silly. childish to me

BK aka Brainkiller aka The Prodigy fan site...
www.brainkiller.it/public/forum

i usually spend most of my time there when it comes to getting any info and live recordings for Prodigy
they're a very resourceful bunch

a lot of times we get info on releases and shows well in advance before they officially announce them

we knew about the live cd/dvd many months in advance due to a member stumbling upon a DVD authoring site that was handling the whole process

found out about a contest from a member on the boards that i entered and won to go into NYC and get to see World's On Fire with a bunch of bloggers and magazine people.

definitely check out the site, it's a must for any Prodigy fan. so much stuff.
that and theprodigy.ru is a great place to find live recordings

Are you insinuating that everyone on BK is a racist hick?

Not at all, but that's usually this forum's reaction to those guys. Mentioning them here might expose some xenophobia.
Probably vice versa there too.

So a group of forum members for Prodigy fans doesn't like another group of forum members for Prodigy fans?
When they're both about fans loving the same group?
Why is this world so absurd sometimes?

I'm a member of both.
A longer member of Brainkiller since '99/'00 when Leeroy left and a little whiles later, we got BGAT and the scrapped AONO era.

I like both forums...
but I find that a lot more info gets out earlier on BK as well as some Prodigy content like shows, live recordings, and vids

There's some hardcore members on BK that are able find demos and cut tracks due to bartering

Nekosite kinda went downhill, not really any updates or constant chatter of fans on the boards
so it kinda lost steam once IMD was released
I'm a member there as well...
along with my music being on the fan compilations: Brainkiller Presents Music From The Jilted Generation and NekoBeats

but hey Brainkiller and Nekosite were both mentioned in the official Prodigy biography as the place to go for info. the other couple of sites mentioned in the book have become defunct like Nekosite.
