Pendulum were invented so all the people who cussed D&B over the years can now listen to a scaled-down, bubble-gum pop version of it, without having to act like hypocrites.
I don't know a single oldskool D&B fan that rates Pendulum. The only good things they have to say are that their first couple of releases were "not bad."
They were not terrible live, but to call them D&B vexes a snob like myself
If Liam gets the D&B vibe then a collaboration with Andy C or Mickey Finn would be one bad-ass track I reckon.
