As I started this thread a few months ago I thought it would only be right to do my own review of the whole cork experience.
So here goes.....
I have been a prodigy fan from he very beginning and in total I have seen them 14 times, for me this trip was about (and I know this is going to sound sad but real Prodigy fans will understand) getting my Prodigy tattoo acknowledged by the guys in the band.
Having experienced a lot of UK gigs this was my first European venue and what a unique 1st gig to go to!
Even before we touched down in cork a guy sat next to me and my wife and recognised my tattoo from the forum. Once in Cork the vibe about the forthcoming gig was wicked and even the hotel staff were talking about it.
The venue was in the middle of an industrial estate and was literally a circus tent if you hadn't been to the venue yourselves. Having found out that Leeroy Thornhill (ex Prodigy) was performing a DJ set in the Savoy nightclub I managed to get tickets from a small quirky little record shop in the centre of town (Will let you know how this goes later)
Having experienced being at the front a number of times I was adamant I was going to get to the front again (Life or death!!)
While on the way to check out the venue we met 4 lads from Clonmel who had just come back from the Download festival. The lads also wanted to get to the front so we all queued together along with the guy I met on the plane.
After queueing for gigs previously it was very strange that at 7pm there was probably only about 100 people in the queue, then like someone had said 'go' people started coming out of nowhere.
To say the least the crowd was on the young side which made us all feel rather old but as experienced as an old skool

raver! My wife even saw a mum with a 6yr old which was a first.
Noise control were the support act and managed to get the crowd pumped then...
..a sudden attack of lasers followed by an assault of base finally saw the three chamanic men arrive on the stage to a rapturous applause.
It was easy to make out their silhouettes as they ignited the venue by thundering into 'World's on Fire'.
Pumping track after track went by with me trying to get the acknowledgement I seeked from one of the lads. I had managed to sneak my camera in and captured loads of cracking tracks on video and the highlight of this was 'Warriors dance' where Keith pointed towards my tattoo looked me eye to eye intensely and with a closed fist pressed on his heart! This to me lasted for ages but was over very quickly, this acknowledgement wasn't to be my last interaction with the main man himself.
Looking back at the videos once home Keith in one of them looked right into the camera with his devil eyes and was singing and pointing looking like he was about to climb into the lens.
This will forever be my prized possession....videos to follow if your lucky!?!?!
After about 3-4 tracks I looked over at the side of the stage and noticed leeroy dancing , I eventually got his attention and tried to coax him on stage during 'Out of space' then told him we would see him later at the club.
After the gig had finished we took ourselves with our suspected cracked ribs, jolted backs and bruises off for round 2 at the Savoy nightclub to see Leeroy.
It was there where we spent 2 1/2hrs dancing away to some top remixes and even got to meet and have my photo taken with the man himself, one of the remixes was 'Break and enter' which was an awesome track!
All in all my experience of the cork gig was fantastic, the people were great and the Prodigy rocked

It went above and beyond my expectations.....
PRODIGY FOR LIFE
