Its disgracefull. 80kbps MP3 sounds like shit. Im sure Liam handed them good quality files, and then rockstar with their pea size brains decided that they HAD to put it inside flashfiles and then lower the quality to 80kbps. Doesnt these tunes deserve better? And dont their fans deserve better? (yes)
Ofcourse there might be some freak saying he wanted the tunes in FLAC or OGG or whatever, but the point is that we could have had near CD quality rips of these tunes if it wasnt because these amateurs decided to think with their ass.
Only thing rockstar can do is to sit with their smartass designer nokia 93420 in front of their macintosh computers and drink cafГ© latГ© and be gay.

Zumo, did you watch Liam record these into his Apple and help him write the email that sent these to Rockstar? No? Then you're not sure of shit. For all we know, Liam could have recorded these right from the W-30 onto tape and snail mailed that just like he would have in 91. Besides, we're talking about Liam here, a self admitted non-techie that may or may not know how to even convert stuff to mp3 and ended up actually emailing the Pro-Tools files. Either way, you're whining about CD-Quality files that were recorded off a 15 year old 12-bit sampler!

Plus, if you'd step back and look at the big picture, you'd realize band websites are primarily for promotion and are more focused on being flashy and unqiue, NOT centered around being a file repository. Ensuring all audio files available via the website are at 320kps, 24 bit stereo to please audiophites is not priority #1. It's no wonder Liam doesn't play any new stuff out yet. It's no wonder he's been slow to upload exclusive stuff. It's no wonder albums take 7 years to write. Because of whiney shits like you lot moaning at every little thing you think you can. Beggers can't be choosers.
