TOPIC: What would you say if we fans of The P...

Re: What would you say if we fans of The P... 8 months ago #64659

I wish neko from nekosite still did interviews with the band. It was because of her interview in 2005 (perhaps add or subtract a year) that Out of Space made it back into the setlist. The band listens to her. Try getting in contact with her neorev and give her that "letter" you made.

Neko was also the reason Liam remembered Back To Skool and turned it into a full track from one of her interviews when fans were asking what happened to it. When it was just a intro they used once for the Leeds festival, pre AONO times.

i'll see what i can do in contacting her.

I think more interaction with fans is good and what Neko did brilliant in her interviews and private meetings with the band was ask relevant questions. She is a legendary fan and I’d like to see the lads’ do more interviews with big fans.

big change of setlist is impossible. When prodigy playing in big festiwals, 90 percent of people probably hear them first time, and their will be not bored......
prodigy will probably modificate a track list only at their solo gig like the milton keynes....

I would ask for the Setlist to be adjusted a little.Bring back out of space, everybody in the place.Even bring Religion in.But you can only play these tunes at certain venues, not at the likes of DOWNLOAD.MK in 2010 was a prime example of that.Because of it being there own festival. But at the end of it ANT FANS,it down to the MASTER,the MADMAN and the MC to decide.

I'm sorry. I don't want to offend you. I don't want to be a d*ck just trying to break my utterance.

We must tell Prodigy we are not pleased with setlist but not to tell them what to do couse we know who they are
Let's we have a luck

A classic like Jericho created a storm in Cork, the gig was a step forward and it was a long setlist .. it just went quick for some who had waited since 3pm outside the gate. All in all they did smash it. Maybe me being me wanted original thunder and one classic. Respect to the Prodigy crew... You make life worth living

I think band have to back to studio and stop play at gigs, band rest and bring to us new material faster, than when they play at festivals. 3 new tracks is to less to think HTSAJ in next year...
About currently tracklist... in my opinion Prodigy could play longer gigs, above 100 minutes and then they put refresh material, older tracks, some kind of fills etc.

there is no need for an official petition or anything like that.. the band have always been well aware about how we feel. of course they must read the forum from time to time.
it is clearly something we all feel strongly about.. but not out of disrespect or bitchiness
so c'mon Liam, change my pitch up

i also feel its a shame maxim and keith abandoned solo efforts.. i still love maxim's first album Hell's Kitchen.

@purple squirrell.. i was also at that cork millstreet gig.. and it was sheer brilliance.

Its easily fixed! Start playing 2 hour sets like the majority of "headline" bands do!

Then you have the 90 minute set of the hits mixed in with half hour of some old tunes and some b-sides!

Hey presto everyone is happy!

Re: What would you say if we fans of The P... 8 months ago #64719

yeah they should at least definitely be playing an hour and 45 minutes... but 2 hours is the standard for most headlining bands.

i would love if they rocked it hard for like an hour and 15, then just Liam did his thing on the stage and played more cinematic Prodigy tracks for like 15-20 minutes. would be a nice breather. tracks like Weather Experience, Skylined, Climbatize, Medusa's Path (like a crazy megamix of em) and then close the section with Omen Reprise fading into IMD with Maxim, Keith, Leo, and Rob returning to stage and close it out with the heavy stuff again. but that's just my wishful thinking.

NIN did something like that during their Lights In The Sky tour. They had a section for the Ghosts stuff and everyone was playing instruments and it was a nice calm moment for everyone.

A tweak or 2...... but seiously people you are all starting to bitch like you have the divine right. The vast majority love the set. They keep it short for maximum energy and performance. In an ideal world I would want a lot of things but you have be realistic.

@Neorev

That's worded perfectly.

It really sums up exactly how we as true prodigy fans feel without coming off as ungrateful pricks. I mean, I can see how in Liam's mind that they can't go wrong playing the hits. The crowd goes crazy and most of the crowd feels like they got their money's worth because they heard "Breathe" and "Firestarter"

But for the few of us who have been fans from the beginning, I also get wanting to hear Pandemonium and Rhythm of Life and changing it up. There is a perfect balance in there somewhere and I think Liam will get it right on the next tour to promote "Jet Fighter".

Time will tell.

I was also Roseland in NYC when the Prodigy played a few years back... man that was a sick show.
