Tomas - I'd just like to clarify again what I mentioned - you are the majority of usual moshers, the minority are the cnuts which nobody enjoys.

I just wish the band played secret gigs and only the determined hardcore fans got in . The buzz of finding out the band are playing a certain venue at a certain time would be wicked.

The Warehouse gig in Birmingham was the closest I got to the old days just like in the 1992 footage.

I always have a little chuckle when people seem to think we are reffering them as if we are all scared - moshin/jumping around into people is as scarey as pouring milk into my morning bowl of rice krispies - the point was for those big head dopey looking cnuts who think their 'well ard' after a few cans of Skol or some shit, thinking everyone else is gonna get eyeballed out the way....until they meet someone who don't take any shit and is their to enjoy themselves, I'm sure other ravers are well and truly used to all kinds of scarey shit in dark dirty raves. Think one of the dirtiest was not so long ago actually around 2000, venue called The Drome @ London Bridge (which was only cleaned up and re-opened after 2 people died the same night)....now renamed the SEone club. But being dark and dingy made the whole thing night so much better, you know? like proper underground style, until the council cleaned it all up http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/1409488.stm

Anyway rambling on their big time sorry!

Point is I personally in my own opinion prefer to be a little more creative shall we say on any dancefloor as much as I was in the hardcore days, jumping around is boring after a while, I do enough of that at the gym - we all have our own personal ways of enjoyment - but it's the cnuts that should be shot down straight away, hate to see people being walked all over but hey - maybe they are the 'pussies' ? I don't care, as long we enjoy what we do hey.

Well said mate. I'd like to have seen these moshers come along to one of the squat parties on the Hackney scene a few years ago. It would have been interesting to see them moshing the "pussies" there with the filthy acid techno going on in the background. I don't think they would have made it out alive. Moshing was created for people who can't dance and like to do what everyone else is doing. I miss the days at gigs when Their Law used to come on, you just grabbed whoever was next to you, put your arms round each others shoulders and jumped. It was like a more civilised version of moshing, and only ever happened for that one track. It just annoys me that it's the rock fans that got into the Prodigy (late) and just come storming in with their rock ways and expect the ravers to move aside (or to the back of the gigs as has been suggested). Message to these people, fuck off, we were here first, you wouldn't like it if we started going to rock gigs and took over the place with our dancing, leaving you to have to mosh at the back. There seems to be a lot of attitude at the gigs nowadays. It's a shame as I used to meet some lovely people at the gigs back in the mid nineties, busting a few moves, having a little space to dance in. Now I try to make sure I don't get floored by some fat fuck jumping on my back because Firestarter has come on. I like to use my feet a lot when dancing, so it's quite entertaining to see the moshers back off because they don't like getting kicked in the shins. Well, I didn't ask you to come and jump 3mm from me did I? It's OK for them to jump all over you, barge you, elbow you, but accidently clip their ankles while your giving it some and they look at you with contempt. It works both ways people, mutual respect is all that is needed.

haha did you ever go to Labrynth down in Dalston Lane Hackney? Was a wicked venue.

Found a flyer for Raindance at that venue 'The Drome' down in London Bridge - my dj name is Sonic on the second page in the hardcore room

Cool mate. I didn't, no. Have you got any mixes uploaded anywhere? Wouldn't mind hearing your skillz on the wheels of steel.

lol...seems like many people have forgotten many things...

firstly, rave music or as its known today - dance music - has at its core dancing. the first prodigy clips show them dancing in ways that most people have no idea how to still today. unfortunately the prodigy themselves seem to have not done this in their live acts...maybe they only do it in private now who knows. either way, this music is for dancing - not moshing! it's not heavy metal, thrash, death or any other type of metal. have a look at the vibe in the dancing clips of early prodigy - all smiles on faces; not moshing excruciating looks of angst.

dance music is for people who have moved on from being a rebel and just want to dance all night and smile and have fun. it's no wonder when people speak up and complain about the lamers that show up and ruin the whole thing just because it's now the cool thing to do. in the early 1990's there was no tv ads with the music, no movies, and it was seen as crazy drug music. now it's "coool". the in thing for the masses.

well..if you don't know how to dance and you don't like to dance and smile at people go see a more appropriate band because this is about real dancing. real smiling.

try this out and pass it on to all moshers...

IMO if you cant dance, you should be allowed to have a good time, there is nothing wrong with jumping, its when people lean on each other it gets stupid.

A circle pit at a Prodigy gig would not be appropriate in my opinion, however I have been in many pits at rock gigs where it gets rough, but if people get knocked over someone will pick them up. Its almost an unwritten rule!

There's always gonna be some wanker who is being a douche bag, usually they are some jumped up little kid who will get sorted out be someone twice their size and harmony is resumed
